Officers Kelly Monfiletto, Kristina Jensen, Tom O’Shea and Phil Dluginski said that most of the calls over the summer were related to vandalism at the park, smash and grab thefts from parked cars, and thefts of change, CDs, etc. from unlocked cars. They suggested better lighting at the park and trimming up the trees and bushes around the perimeter of the park. Officer Monfiletto will also ask her supervisor to put a patrol check of our section in the computer. They encouraged residents to call the direct line for Brookhaven Town Code Enforcement at 451-6161 to report vandalism, etc.
